Possible Themes

I've been looking at possible themes to the modular assets that I will be creating.

To help the creation of the assets I want to look at architectural designs that are common place in the immediate area so I can collect reference images myself and see first hand the scale and architectural prowess of the chosen theme.

Possible Themes

Tudor
  •  This style of build is very prominent in the east of England and would be ideal, however I was hoping to do building of a larger scale and have more variety to the buildings aswell as details.
Mill Street, Warwick

Henry VII Chapel Westminster Abbey, London

Modern
  •  Modern architecture is very varied in its styles across the world, it would be hard to pin point and work with buildings as they can be very different. The upside of modern architecture in that most builds from this time are modular and would be easier to translate into 3D modular assets.
Trump Tower, Chicago

Opera House, Sydney

Romanesque / Norman
  • Romanesque or Norman architecture associated with most of the churches and cathedrals in England and many of the most impressive cathedrals of this style are in very close proximity to Ipswich.
Norwich Cathedral (Norman)
Ely Cathedral (Norman)
Peterborough Cathedral (Norman)

Victorian
  • Romanesque or Norman architecture associated with most of the churches and cathedrals in England and many of the most impressive cathedrals of this style are in very close proximity to Ipswich.

Royal Albert Hall, London
